My policy work is based in mesoeconomics, as the study of “middle” systems, as the institutional, infrastructural and relational contexts through which economic and social life is organised. My work tends to examine the public, private and common-world arrangements that anchor shared geographies, distribute resources and responsibilities, and shape the conditions for collective action.

My experience is based in the governance of these systems and in how policy frameworks are constructed, iterated and applied in “whole of geography” approaches. I work with organisations across Aotearoa New Zealand on housing, retirement systems, infrastructure, climate transition and social cohesion, with a particular focus on social justice, wealth inequality and intergenerational change.

I work closely with Shamubeel Eaqub on economic issues which shape Aotearoa New Zealand.
