My policy work is based in mesoeconomics, as the study of “middle” systems, as the institutional and infrastructural contexts through which economic and social life is organised.

My work tends to examine the public, private and common-world arrangements that anchor shared geographies, distribute resources and responsibilities, and shape the conditions for political action.

My experience is based in the governance of these systems and focus on how policy frameworks are chosen and applied in “whole of government” versus distributed “whole of geography” approaches. I work with organisations across Aotearoa New Zealand on housing, retirement systems, infrastructure, climate transition and social cohesion challenges.

I work closely with Shamubeel Eaqub on economic issues which shape Aotearoa New Zealand.
